Congratulations to the Watervale Community and local resident and land owner David Spackman for installing a lovely bench seat at the top of the loop trail for the Mount Horrocks Lookout.
The Loop Trail is accessible from Watervale and is now part of the Clare Short Walks set.
Although the Loop Trail is only 900m walking it is steep towering over the area at 570m the panorama unfolds before your eyes as you ascend, most people will appreciate this lofty lookout.
You can now enjoy the view even more, sit for a while on the bench seat and take in the view.
As this area has so much of a story to tell, interpretive signage has also been installed so you really have the opportunity to appreciate the historic significance of the area along with the view.
